Ooni of Ife Praises Iyalaje Oodua For Promoting Yoruba Cultures

By OLALEKAN AYENI – The Imperial Majesty, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ooni of Ife, has praised the Iyalaje Oodua, Ambassador Princess Toyin Kolade for her roles in promoting Yoruba traditional cultures.

Ooni of Ife described Iyalaje Oodua as an epitome of culture and tradition, adding that she has always remain committed to the preservation of the cultural heritage of the Yoruba land.
The Arole Oodua disclosed this at the ongoing celebration to mark his 7th coronation anniversary in his palace.
The event which brought dignitaries, family and well-wishers from far and wide, featured award presentations, unveiling of Ojaja Women in Southwest and dancing competitions
The excited monarch could not hide his joy as he took the microphone and sang praises to God.
The Ooni was born on October 17, 1974. He was selected king out of 21 contenders on October 26, 2015 and received his staff of office on December 7, 2015.
He promised to continue committing his resources to the development of Ile-Ife, Yoruba land and Nigeria as a whole.
