Inter-Agency Collaboration: FRSC Lagos State Sector Commander Pays Official Visits To NDLEA State Cdr

In a move to reinforce inter-agency collaboration, the Lagos State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), along with key senior officers, paid a courtesy visit to the State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on 20th August 2024.

The visit underscores the dedication of both agencies to working together toward shared objectives and enhancing public safety.

Accompanying the Sector Commander were DCC Logistics, DCC TM Adesina; Liaison Officer to the State House of Assembly, CRC Adele Azeez Adeniyi; Sector Public Relations Officer, RC Elizabeth O. Jayeola; and Protocol Officer to the Sector Commander, ARC RO Lawal. The NDLEA State Commander warmly received the team.

The primary goal of the visit was to strengthen the already robust relationship between the FRSC and NDLEA and to explore new avenues for continuous and effective collaboration. During the meeting, the Sector Commander expressed his sincere appreciation for the longstanding partnership between the two agencies, highlighting the success of their joint operations and the critical role of ongoing cooperation in achieving mutual goals.

The Sector Commander also briefed the NDLEA Commander on recent FRSC operations, including:

1.The clampdown on articulated vehicles involved in the illegal transportation of humans and animals.

2.Efforts to curb excessive speeding to reduce road traffic crashes.

3.The Corps Marshal’s initiative to develop a one-stop app to streamline operations.

In response, the NDLEA Commander expressed gratitude for the visit and acknowledged the productive relationship between the two agencies. He commended the FRSC for its proactive approach in managing road traffic and reducing road traffic crashes at both the national and state levels. The NDLEA Commander also reiterated the agency’s commitment to ongoing collaboration and requested assistance from the FRSC in facilitating driver’s licenses for NDLEA personnel—a request that was positively received by the Sector Commander.

The visit, represents a significant step in the continued efforts to strengthen ties between the FRSC and NDLEA, ensuring the safety and security of the public.
