ACM Owoade Tasks Officers On Focus, Diligence As He Retires From FRSC

The former RS2 Zonal Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), ACM Jonathan Owoade, has urged officers and men of the agency to remain focus and exhibit diligence in service to the nation.
He said this in his address at the pulling out ceremony on Thursday, August 15, 2024 in Lagos, after serving FRSC for 28 years.
The remarkable event was attended by his wife, Mrs Victoria Owoade, his children and other eminent personalities across the nation.
It was also witnessed by Lagos State Sector Commander of FRSC, CC Patrick Davou; his counterpart in Ogun State, CC Akinwunmi Fasakin; Lagos and Ogun Zonal Coordinator of FRSC Special Marshals, Elder Solomon Adeniyi; Lagos Coordinator, Pastor Segun Akintan; Ogun – Taiwo Balogun; representatives of LASTMA, Police, VIS and other well wishers.
ACM Owoade (rtd) was born into the family of Mr and Mrs Timothy Owoade in Kukoyi Compound in Kishi, Irepo Local Government of Oyo State on August 15, 1964.
He attended Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he studied Psychology. He was employed by FRSC in April 14, 1996, serving the agency in various capacities culminating in his ascension to the position of Assistant Corps Marshal.
His diligent, discipline, charisma, doggedness and dedication to the Corps earned him several awards and recommendations.
Owoade, thanked God who has been his destiny helper all through his journey in FRSC, saying it has ended in praise. He also appreciate his wife who stood by him throughout his 28 years in service.
He added that his collaboration with different talented, loyal, and resolute officers, who served and were still serving the Corps, and the public; could never be taken for granted.
According to him, “No leader does anything alone. It is a formidable team of selfless and dutiful officers across all ranks that have contributed to his existence and achievement in the Corps for 28 years ago. I urge you to remain focused and diligent. Always be responsive and face your work diligently. This will surely make you a better individual wherever you find yourself,” ACM Owoade (rtd), added.
ACM Owoade (rtd) also expressed his gratitude to FRSC management led by Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed for giving him the platform to serve humanity under his supervision. “My appreciation also goes to officers, men and Special Marshals of the Zone for their unalloyed support which, according to him aided his recorded successes in the Corps’ profession.”
He charged both the staff and Special Marshals to always be of good character, imbibe spirit of teamwork and to have it at the back of their minds that whatever they sow they shall also reap.
“Be more proactive, effectiveness with the sense of safety while on duty. Abstain form corruption and other form of indiscipline that could tarnish the image of the Corps,” he added.
In his opening remarks, CC Davou, he said everything in life has time and the most constant is change. He described the retired ACM as a father, mentor, dynamic leader, workaholic and very loyal officer, a man who loves to associate with everybody and a very good adviser to all his subordinates. The agency, its personnel will missed him for his good deed. “He is leaving for good.”
He said ACM Owoade (rtd) has been one of the FRSC staff who had worked tirelessly in ensuring the agency achieved its goals.
Many who spoke about the retired ACM were his wife who described his as best husband who cares much about his home. CC Fasakin, Elder Adeniyi, Pastor Akintan, Balogun, and others. They all prayed that God continue to be with him, his family and for him to live long in sound health.
