Hunger Protest DAY 3: Armed Thugs With Guns, Machetes Currently Attacking #EndBadGovernance Protesters In Abuja

A group of armed thugs allegedly sponsored by the Nigerian government are currently attacking #EndBadGovernance protesters in the nation’s capital city, Abuja.

In a video seen by SaharaReporters on Saturday, the thugs were caught on camera, wielding guns, machetes and other dangerous unleashing terror against protesters in Abuja.

SaharaReporters had also reported how some operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigerian police invaded the peaceful protest at the Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja on Saturday and shot at a vehicle carrying journalists from The Premium Times and The Cable newspapers.

This came after hundreds of civilian protesters were attacked and raided from the venue by lawless operatives of the Nigerian police.

“They shot at us three times, it was God that saved us. The bullets hit the bumper of the car that conveyed us down there,” one of the journalists told SaharaReporters.

The protesters and journalists had assembled calmly before the police violently disrupted them with teargas canisters on Saturday morning.

SaharaReporters also reported that at least six vehicles loaded with masked operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have taken over the Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja where the #Endbadgovernance protest started on Saturday.

“Six vehicles loaded with DSS and soldiers have chased away the peaceful protesters. This is the brand of democracy Bola Tinubu has given to Nigerians.

“Everywhere is tense and the DSS operatives are loading their rifles and threatened to fire at anyone who continues the protest,” a witness had told SaharaReporters.

SaharaReporters earlier reported that for the third day in a row, a massive gathering of Lagos State residents and the Take-It-Back Movement converged in Ojota, Lagos State, to continue the peaceful protest.

Under the banner of #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria, the protesters remain united in their pursuit of transformative change and accountability.

With slogans and placards, the demonstrators have maintained a serene and orderly atmosphere, vocally expressing their demands for enhanced governance and a more promising future for Nigeria.
