Family, Friends Celebrate Dr Abati Retirement In Style

Family, friends and staff of Business Education Department in Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, Ogun State, gathered on Thursday –July 18, 2024, to honour and celebrate the Send Forth of an icon, Dr Olugbenga Adekunle Abati after his retirement from active service.

Dr Abati retired on June 11, 2024 at 65 years which has been the statutory age of retirement from active service of the College.

The epoch making event had in attendance of Director CUDEP, Dr T. A.  Akinyele, Lagos and Ogun Zonal Coordinator of Special Marshals of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Elder Solomon Adeniyi; Ogun State Coordinator of Special Marshals, Taiwo Balogun including other members and some of the academic institution’s Alma-Mater.

Speaking while his cheeks were flushed with excitement, Dr Abati expressed gratitude to God for giving him sound health throughout his staying in office.

“I also appreciated the government for giving me the opportunity to serve till I retired meritoriously. My appreciation also goes to the management and staff of the Institution for their unalloyed support that aided my recorded successes.

“I thereby charged the staff to always be of good character, imbibe spirit of teamwork and to have it at the back of their minds that whatever they sow they shall also reap,” Dr Abati, added.
