EID-EL-KABIR: FRSC Mafa Takes Safety Campaign To Mafa Central Mosque within Its Local Government Area Of Borno State

Mafa unit Command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), today – Friday June, 14, 2024, held intensive public enlightenment on safety of motorists at the Mafa Central Central mosque.

The exercise was led by the Unit Commander, Chief Route Commander Adamu Garba at the (Jummat) Friday Prayer in the Mafa Central Mosque  ahead of Eid-el-kabir.

He said FRSC have been so far made several efforts at reaching the target audience on safety matters.

“We visited churches, mosques, garages, motor parks, market places and media houses to ensure the message of safety consciousness gets to them,’’ he said.

“The Corps Management has ordered all Commands to collaborate with other sister agencies including the Judiciary through mobile courts to checkmate reckless activities of road users.

Among the safety tips discussed at the event were shunning of overloading either with goods or humans, road obstruction at the market square, over- speeding, dangerous driving, wrongful overtaking or parking at the market square, etc.

He admonished road users to be safety conscious during and after the Sallah celebrations and avoid reckless driving which could lead to accidents and fatality. “Our primary duty is to ensure easy traffic flow and prompt rescue services at all corridors.

CRC Adamu urged the public to support the command stressing that “safety on roads is a shared responsibility which must not be left in the hands of FRSC officials alone’’.
