Iba Unit Command of Federal Road Safety corps (FRSC) on Sunday, June 9, 2024 organised ‘Domesticated Public Enlightenment’ at Kingdom Family Church in Iyana-Era, Ijanikin, Lagos State.
The programme, according Superintendent Route Commander Richard Anigbo, is part of the strategic measures for meeting the Corps’ target of road traffic crashes reduction.
He said: “Members of the corps have been mandated to embark on aggressive enlightenment campaign that would include churches, mosques and schools to ensure motorists know and adhere to the safety tips while driving and should not violate traffic rules and regulations.”
Among the safety tips/topics briefed by SRC Anigbo at the church were “The process and procedures of obtaining a genuine driver’s license; importance of installing speed limiting device in  vehicles; safe driving during the raining season; dangers of over-speeding, overloading, drunk driving, use of phone while behind the wheels, and driving mechanically deficient vehicles on the road.
The church’s Head Pastor,  Bishop Ademola Oluronmbi, thanked the FRSC personnel for organising such a laudable enlightenment program, urging the agency to keep up  the good work of making the motoring public safe.
