CHILDREN’S DAY: FRSC Ilaro Unit Command Engages School Pupils With Quiz, Debates

Ilaro Unit Command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), on Monday 27, 2024 organised an inter-school quiz and debate competition with the theme: “Imparting Safety Consciousness” for pupils within its jurisdiction.
The programme which held at the Command’s premises in Ilaro, a suburb in Ogun State, was part of the agency’s home grown initiative to mark year 2024 Children’s Day celebration.
In his welcome address, the Unit Commander ACC Sulaimon Oluwadumiye said the purpose of the programme was to Impact safety consciousness into the children and identify with them on the occasion.
A total number of seven private schools participated in the competition namely Perfect Assurance Academy; Access Comprehensive School; Tofunmi Schools; Promising Generation Nursery and primary School, Excellent Jewel Nursery and primary School, His GRACE Nursery and primary School and Victory Group of Schools.
At the event, Ilaro Divisional Police Officer, CSP Kolade charged the pupils to shun any criminal act. Also the Divisional Officer, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ilaro Division SC Sherrifdeen advised students to live a crime free life.
While TRACE Commander in Ilaro area Cdr Salako advised the students to abide by the rules and regulations guiding the road usage.
The event featured presentation of gifts and in attendance were, FRSC Special Marshals, NYSC members and others.
The event came to an end with vote of thanks by The Ag. Unit Head of Operations Superintendent Route Commander Ogunyewo.
