2023 GUBER POLL: Gov Sanwo-Olu Deserves Second Term – Senator Mamoora
2 min readThe National Special Intervention Committee for Lagos Gubernatorial/Assembly Elections under the umbrella of All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Lagos State residents to come out en masse to vote for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the forthcoming guber elections on March 18.
The team’s Chairman, Senator Olorunnibe Mamoora, made the call shortly after a meeting of the group with the Lagos State APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi in Ikeja.
Senator Mamoora, spoke through the Director of Media/Communication, Dr ‘Seyi Bamigbade, he said Governor Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat deserved gratitude and re-elected for second term because they have done so much in the state.
He condemned the voting pattern against APC in Lagos, during the last presidential elections. Urging Lagos residents especially the electorates to change the pattern and redeem themselves by voting for a performing government.
The group chairman, said the team is working assiduously to reconcile the aggrieved members of APC in the state to guaranteed the success of Sanwo-Olu including APC lawmakers candidates in the forthcoming elections.
Dr Bamigbade, who doubled as the National Director of APC Professionals Council, said: “The National Special Intervention Committee would not relent from door-to-door campaigning, canvassing and mobilizing of both youths and women across nooks and crannies within the state to the best performing government, who I believe has done the best.”
“I don’t expect Lagos residents, especially youths, Ndigbo and religious leaders to allow ethnicity and religion become the dividing factors in the forthcoming governorship elections. All government should be assessing based on performances. Sanwo-Olu’s achievements in the critical sectors of the state’s economy are endearing. Infact, I am convinced that it needs to be sustained,” Dr Bamigbade, added.
