Clergyman Warns Youths Against Indecent Dressing, Violence, Cultism

The General Overseer, Imole Ayo Cherubim and Seraphim Church (C&S) in Iloye, Adalemo, Sango/Ota area of Ogun State, Primate Peter Omoleye has warmed youths against indecent dressing both in the church and public.
He said it is time for churches to come up with tough measures against indecent dressing, while attributing the high level of raping in the society to Indecent dressings on the part of young ladies and even the married women.
He urged parents to warn their children against inviting rapists through their dressing, calling on churches to critically embark on preaching against indecent dressings in the society not only receiving of wealth and prosperity.
Primate Omoleye disclosed this at the church’s year 2022 celebration of Ark of Covenant, tagged: “Eri Aromijah”. He said the historical event is the church’s yearly exercise to praise God for His faithfulness over the church members and to pray for the nation as a whole.
According to the clergyman, Ark of Covenant, also known as Ark of God, is believed to be the most sacred relic of the Israelites, covered in pure gold, with an elaborately designed lid called the mercy seat.
He also warned youths against thuggery, violence and cultism especially as 2023 general election is drawing nearer.
He said: cultism and drug addiction among youths and teenagers is silently creeping into families and destroying the potential of many promising children in our society.
“It has become a great concerns to the society as its consequences do not end only with the addicted children but its consequences affect the society now and in the future.
He called on parents to get educated on the issue to be able to detect when their children and wards display signs of drug users as well as monitor the company their children keep.
He called on youths to avoid violence, thuggery and vulgar speeches before, during and after the 2023 general elections.
He said the youths have a greater part to play in making the 2023 general elections free-and-fair to elect dynamic and vibrant leaders, while appealing to political leaders to shun engaging youths in thuggery and violence during the campaign and elections.
The epoch making event was well attended by guests across the state especially the C&S leaders.
