Ogun TRACE, FRSC, VIS, pledge to sustain collaboration

By OLALEKAN AYENI – The Ogun State Vehicle Inspection Service, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Ogun State’s Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) have restated their commitment to ensuring safety on roads and reducing crashes during and after the yuletide celebration.

The commitment was renewed during an official visit of newly Ota Command’s Divisional Commander, Victoria Olaoke to Ota Unit Command of FRSC and VIS, Ogun West Zonal Command.

The giant stride agencies in road traffic management, represented by its commanders; FRSC – Akeem Ganiyu and VIS – Engr Oluwatoyin Olugbenga, agreed to leveraged on the existing synergy to ensure reduction of traffic crashes in the state and Nigeria at large.

Speaking at the events, Commander Olaoke, said her visit to the sister agencies was to seek more of their collaboration to curb the menace of road users especially the motorists to eradicate road traffic crashes in the state.

She applauded the TRACE Corps Commander/CEO, Abdulfatai Olaseni Ogunyemi for his passion in road traffic standardisation.

Commander Olaoke lauded the VIS and FRSC for maintaining healthy partnership with TRACE over the years, stressing that, there must be continuous collaboration to make the state and country safe for citizens.

She said: “We are very grateful for this grand reception and I am confident I can always trust the FRSC and VIS because anytime they are called upon, they are there for us”, she said.

In response, Engr Olugbenga and ACC Ganiyu appreciated the newly Divisional Commander for the visit that will later yielded positive in ensuring crash-free roads and maximum reduction in traffic crashes in the state.

The two commanders said the agencies would continue to demonstrate good partnership with TRACE and other sister agencies across the state. They assured their always response whenever there’s call upon.
