BREAKING: Excessive Speed Kills Two, Injured Others On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Two persons have confirmed dead in a fatal crash that occurred today, September 4, on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The ugly incident, according to Ogun State Sector Command’s  Public Education Officer (PEO) of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Superintendent Route Commander Florence Okpe, occurred at about 1130hrs at Isara on Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
She said a total of five persons were involved, all male adult, adding that two others sustained injuries, one rescued unhurt while other two persons recorded death.
She added that two vehicles were involved – a Benz truck with registration number T-4395LA and a Toyota Camry FST783FM.
The suspected causes of the crash according to the PEO were excessive speed which led to lost of control by the Camry driver and collided with the truck.
She said the injured victims have been taken to State Hospital Isara and while the corpses have also been deposited at the same hospital morgue.
The state’s Sector Commander, CC Ahmed Umar, commiserated with the family of the crash victims. He also advised motorists to shun speed and that it kills faster that diseases.
