Ogun SO-SAFE Corps Apprehends Man For Stealing Sheep, Recovers Stolen Items
2 min readThe Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (SO-SAFE) led by Corps Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo, on February 28, 2022, at about 16:00hrs arrested a fashion designer cum armed robber, James Adeyemi, at Ihunbo Town of Ipokia Local Government Area of the state for stealing a sheep.
The suspect was allegedly caught after slaughtering the sheep he stole and served it at his son’s naming ceremony.
According to a statement released issued by the State Commander of the Corps’ Director of Information, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, said his arrest was as a result of information received by the Idiroko Division Patrol Team that the suspect was sighted in the bush slaughtering a sheep he allegedly stole.
Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to the act and that the owner is yet to know the wicked mind behind his missing sheep after he was apprehended and taken to the Divisional Command of the Corps for preliminary investigation of the matter.
The suspect confessed to have killed the sheep and served it at his son’s naming ceremony.
He also confessed that he has broken into a shop at Km 1, Ita-Egbe Road, Ihunbo on three different occasions and carted away 3 packets of cutlasses (90 pieces), 1 Jacto Sprayer, 26 pieces of different types of fumigating chemicals, 5 bags of NPK Fertilizer, 7 bottles of Guard Force, 2 Morshal chemical and some bags of maize.
Having confessed to the crime, he led the team to where he kept some of the stolen items in the bush.
The suspect and the items recovered from him -2 Galons of Super Gro, 22 pieces of Cutlass, one pair of rain boot, 1 Pear of Jacto Sprayer, 27 Pieces of different types of fumigating chemicals, 1 Spray Pump and a Red Colour Bajaaj Motorcycle have been transferred to Idiroko Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution.
