APC Youth And Student Council Congratulates Nigerians As Buhari Signs 2022 Electoral Amendment Bill Into Law

The leadership of All Progressives Congress Youth and Student Council which is a powerful and certified APC grade “A” support group have collectively expressed their joy with Nigerians and international communities as President Buhari Muhammad, signed the electoral amendment bill into law.
The all awaited electoral bill, which was sent by the National Assembly to President Buhari for approval and accent to the bill, is one of the landmark achievements of this present administration and All Progressives Congress.
The signing of the electoral act amendment bill which was held at Council chamber of the Presidential villa witness the presence of Vice President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osibanjo, Senate President Alhaji Ahmed Lawan, Chairman Index National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Speaker of the hoiuse of Representatives RT. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
In a press released signed by Director General of APC Youth and Student Council, Mazi Ezenwa Onyirimba, said signing 2022 Electoral amendment bill into law is a worthwhile effort and a legal milestone framework that will enhance and improve our electoral process which all Nigerians would be proud of. It guarantees the constitutional rights of citizens to vote and be voted for.
While Congratulating Nigerians both in Nigeria and diaspora, Mazi, said the party has shown competence and have delivered on their electoral promises as a party.
He added that the party has restored dignity and confidence in our democracy.
He also Congratulated His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari and ninth National assembly, for making sure the bill received a human face to give Nigerians choice to improve in our electoral system.
In the words of the President Buhari he said and I quote, “Distinguished Senators and Honourable members of the National assembly, from the review it is my perspective that substance of the bill is both reformative and and progressive. I am making this bold declaration, because I foresee the potentials of the bill with particular reference to section 3, 9(2), 34, 41, 47, 84 (9), (10) and 11, among others. The electoral act amendment bill also stipulates that anyone holding a political office such as ministers, commissioners, special advisers and others must relinquish the position before they can be eligible to participate in the electoral process as a candidate or as a delegate.”
Maxi urged the students and other young people to use the opportunity as enshrined in the new amendment bill to participate and engaged effectively in the political and electoral decision process of these communities, local government areas, states and Nigeria at large.
He said signing the bill is an awakening call for students in all tertiary institutions to register and obtain PVC, saying it is their greatest asset to elect their best candidate in 2023.
“It is one of the reason why APC Youth and Student Council built vote bank for our party, which has helped in the increased numbers of students voters registration, he echoed.
