Ogun Police Condemned Jungle Justice Against Two men caught With Human Head
1 min readThe Ogun Police Command has condemned the jungle justice meted on two men suspected to be ritualist caught with human head in Oja-Odan, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
INFORMATION CARRIER gathered that an irate youths set the two men ablaze after being caught with a fresh human head at Oja-Odan.
The suspects, Idowu Afolabi and Johnson Adebiyi had earlier been arrested and detained at Oja Odan police station, on Saturday.
It was further leant that some youths had forcefully broken into the police cell to drag out the two suspected ritualists.
However, in a statement released by the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, condemned what he described as “unlawful killing and setting ablaze” of the suspected ritualists, saying Nigeria police would no longer tolerate such jungle justice.
A source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the youths, who were in their hundreds, dragged the suspects to an open space in front of the police station and set them on fire.
