EKITIDECIDES: APC Youth and Student Council To Commence Familiarisation, Peace Accord Visit To Party Governorship Aspirants
2 min readBy OLALEKAN AYENI – The Youth and Student Council of All Progressives Congress (APC) have set to commenced familiarisation and peace accord visit to all governorship aspirants participating in governorship primary election in Ekiti State coming up on January 27, 2022.
The visit, according to the political group’s Southwest National Deputy Director South West, Amb. Seyi Bamigbade, will be leading by the group’s National Director, Mazi Ezenwa Onyirimba to ensure peace during and after the election
He will accompany with the state’s Executive Governor/APC elected chairman, Kayode Fayemi and those to be visited include Opeyemi Bamidele, Olufemi Bamishile, Biodun Oyebanji, Bamidele Faparusi, Demola Popoola and Engr. Kayode Ojo.
Recalled that Opeyemi and Bamisile currently represent Ekiti State at the Senate and House of Representatives chambers respectively, while Oyebanji and Faparusi are commissioners under Fayemi’s administration and others.
“We the members of the ruling party All Progressives Congress Youth and Student Council will be in Ekiti State to support a peaceful electoral process. We cherished Ekiti State, we cherished peace and unity of our party and Nigeria. Most importantly, we want to contribute our own quota to see that the governorship election in Ekiti State is devoid of violence.
“We call on aspirants and supporters to accept the outcome of the vote as long as it is adjudged to be free, fair and credible. In the letter and spirit of the Accord, any aggrieved group shouldn’t resort to violence, but follow a judicial process,” Bamigbade said.
