He’s now my darling baby, I’m ready to take care of him more – Mrs Osukoya

By OLALEKAN AYENI –  It was a rain of prayers at Al-Lateef Muslim college in Ilisan Remo, Ogun State on Saturday January 8, 2022, as dignitaries across the globe gathered to rejoice with Engr Paul Kehinde Osukoya, popularly called ‘Obaomo’ as he clocked 60 years on earth.
Among the dignitaries present were father of Ogun State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Rafiu Salako, former Ogun State Director of Chief Inspection Officers (VIO) Rev Bayo Otuyemi (rtd), his predecessor, Engr Adegboyega Ademeyin, traditional rulers, Bobagunte group, religious clerics and captain of industries.
The two-one event which began with prayers for God to grant the celebrant more fruitful years in sound health and wealth was also used to celebrate his retirement after serving 35 years meritoriously from Ogun State Vehicle Inspection Services (VIO).
His wife, children, friends and relatives described Engr Osukoya as a great philanthropist, God fearing, transparent, solution providers, loving, caring, accomodating, father and husband that worth of emulation.
Speaking at the event: Obaomo’s wife, Mrs Margaret Idowu Adetutu Osukoya, said: “My husband is a daddy, a very responsible father, great achiever, very determined, gentle, accomodating, loving and caring. He deserves to be celebrated.
“Infact, today is my joyous day, the day we’ve been waiting for, thank God it has come passed.
“I really congratulate my husband for his 60th birthday, retirement and series award.
“Perhaps, my primary assignment now is to cater for him than ever before as a retired civil servant. He is now my darling/first son, I vowed to double my caring for him in joy and happiness as long as both of us live on earth. I wish he could be my husband 100 times if God gives me opportunity to come back on earth.
My Daddy, my first son and my baby boy, I prayed you will not die young. We will both live together to enjoy ourselves till old age. Happy birthday once again!” – Mrs Osukoya.
The Very Revd of Ilisan Remo Methodist Church, Rev Oluwatosin Fabode, described PK Osukoya as a transparent man, very diligent, nice, friendly, and does not discriminate.
“I urged him to relent from his transparency, Humanitarian services, and more closer to God.
“He should never relent from the work of VIO despite he has retired. Many people see their work as been harsh forgetting they are saving peoples’ lives from perishing on the road. My prayer for him is to live long with sound health and his departed soul of his twin brother hear the God’s trumpet at the resurrection day.
Rev Otuyemi, described Osukoya as very hardworking, diligent, transparent and very loyal. He’s way of life worth of emulation. I worked with him for several years. He is God-fearing, very efficient, dedicated and determined. I prayed he lives long in sound health to enjoy his labour.
“I also advise him to always considered his medication so necessary at the due time to enable him keep fit and enjoy his life. Congratulations to him. May him live long.”
On his part, the celebrant, Engr PK Osukoya thanked God for a fruitful life, “I am very grateful to the Almighty God for long life in good health. I will not relent from serving God as long as I live on earth.”
Engr. Osukoya retired as Sango Ota Divisional Commander of VIO. He officially handed over the office to his predecessor, Engr Oluwatoyin Olugbenga after serving 35 years.
