Seven Burnt, Three Injured In Road Traffic Crash on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway
1 min readSeven person have confirmed burnt beyond recognition in a fatal crash that occurred at Sandcrete, Ogunmakin Area, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, around 10:40pm (22:40) yesterday.
The fatal crash, according to Public Education Officer of Ogun State Sector Command, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Superintendent Route Commander Florence Okpe, involved two vehicles ‘bus and truck’ with no registration number.
She said a total of 10 persons were involved, three were injured while the other seven were burnt beyond recognition only to be identified with skulls.
She also said the suspected cause of the crash was route violation (one way), making the two vehicles had head on collusion which resulted to fire out break
The injured victims, according to SRC Okpe have been taken to Victory Hospital Ogere for medical attention.
The Ogun FRSC Sector Commander CC Ahmed Umar, had cautioned motorists to desist from driving against traffic (one-way), excessive speed and night travels due to the dangers attached them.
He also commiserated with the family of crash victims and enjoined them to contact FRSC Ogunmakin Area for more information about the injured victims.
