EXCESSIVE SPEED: Three Die in Traffic Crash On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Three persons, all male adults, it was gathered have today – Saturday, October 16, lost their lives in a road traffic crash caused by excessive speed at Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The unfortunate incident, INFORMATION CARRIER, learnt occurred at about 0650hrs, involving a Mitsubishi Canter vehicle with registration number
LAR116XN.
The excessive speed according to Ogun State Sector Command’s Public Education Officer of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) SRC Florence Okpe, caused the driver to loss control.
She said the dead victims have been deposited at FOS Morgue Ipara in Ogun State.
Ogun FRSC Sector Commander, CC Ahmed Umar, described the crash as avoidable act and advised motorists to avoid excessive speed, dangerous driving and always observe traffic rules and regulations while behind the wheel.
The Sector Commander commiserated with the victims’ families and also enjoined them to contact FRSC Command in Ogunmakin KM27 to reclaim the victims’ properties recovered from the scene of the crash.
