Nigeria partners Germany on Promoting Interagency Collaboration Among Security Agencies, Citizens

In it’s efforts to improve national security in the country, the House of Representatives in conjunction with the Federal Republic of Germany has organised a two day interactive session for heads of security and civil society organisations in Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers State.
The session which held in Port Harcourt was channelled by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Foundation was coordinated by Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
The event, tagged: “Promoting Interagency Collaboration Among Security Agencies And Cooperation Between Security Agencies And Civilian Citizens”, aimed to identifying problems mitigating the success of solving security challenges in Nigeria and proffering solutions by uniting the more through intra, inter and multi security agencies and amongst the civilian populations.
The Rivers State Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) CC Salisu Umar Galadunci, along with his counterpart of Bayelsa State were in attendance.
During the syndicate group work, CC Galadunci made a presentation on behalf Rivers State group.
During the session various paper presentations were made by two re-known scholars in persons of Prof. Tajudeen Akanbi of University of Ibadan, and Dr Uju Agomoh of WRAPA.
In the meantime, similar programs for middle cadre of Officers of the above mentioned States have continued and commenced a four day interactive session at their levels.
